What makes concierge medicine different from traditional primary care?

Concierge medicine provides a more personalized, accessible, and preventive approach to healthcare, with a focus on building a strong, ongoing relationship between patient and physician. By limiting their patient panel to 200 members, your Brentwood MD physician will provide you with the time, attention, and world-class care you deserve.

Do you take insurance?

Although Brentwood MD does not accept or bill any health insurance for our services, our members are encouraged to maintain a current policy to cover speciality care, hospitalizations, medications, and imaging.

Is there a long-term contract?

No, there is no long-term contract at all. You can cancel your membership anytime: we only ask for a 30-day notice of intent to cancel.

Do you offer one-time visits or an executive physical?

At Brentwood MD, we believe health care should be neither transactional nor generic — and we aren’t either of those things. While we could give you a handcrafted, one-off executive physical, it would be transactional by definition. Our goal at Brentwood MD is to create more of a bespoke, personalized experience through lifelong relationships with our members.

What happens if I am admitted to the hospital?

We will collaborate with your admitting doctor to coordinate care. While we will advocate on your behalf, it is important to know that hospital providers will be the primary administrators of your care. Bills accrued during a hospital stay are the sole responsibility of the member.

Do you make house calls?

House calls are offered to our members if the member is too ill to come into the clinic at the discretion of the physician. They are offered to members who live in Nashville and its immediate surrounding area.

Does my Brentwood MD Physician then become my PCP?

Yes, absolutely. Your Brentwood MD physician will become your primary care physician.

Do I really have direct access to my Brentwood MD physician?

Yes, absolutely. In addition to having access to your Brentwood MD physician by personal email, cell phone, and text, you have a dedicated care team available to help you as a Brentwood MD member.

Do you offer both individual and family memberships?

Whether you’re seeking care for yourself or your entire family, we have membership options that ensure you receive the comprehensive medical attention and accessibility you deserve. Please contact us for more details about our membership plans and find the one that best fits your needs.

Can children be members too?

We require at least one paying adult membership to accompany a child membership. Since we do not stock childhood vaccines, we strongly recommend that your child have a pediatrician as well.

Can an HSA account be used to pay membership fees?

Our membership may be eligible for reimbursement through your health savings account (HSA) or flexible spending account (FSA). We recommend contacting your benefits administrator to confirm.

How long are average office visits?

We pride ourselves on never watching the clock. We take as long as is needed to meet the needs of our members. However, the typical annual physicals are about 90 minutes and sick visits are 30-60 minutes.

How often do I need to see my physician?

You and your physician will create a customized Health Optimization Plan, which will be actively managed based on your specific goals, needs, and priorities. You will have direct access to your physician and care team by text, email, and phone. The rhythm and frequency of your office visits will be determined through shared decision-making between you and your physician.

How private is the clinic?

At Brentwood MD Private Physicians, your privacy is our utmost priority. Whether in the clinic, during home visits, or via virtual consultations, you can trust that your privacy is always respected. We design your visit so you will rarely have to wait in the lobby or see any other members during it.
